You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Improve Leisure Reading (Mark As Read on schedule)

I read 1k+ articles every day with my feedly subscription.

It really bugs me out to see 1k+ articles unread and demotivates me to read further.

The option to auto clear the news feed would keep my balance of reading on 20-30 articles unread. So I would use the app 5 times more often

  2. don't show all feeds when there are no unread items

This is in the Web version of feedly.

When there are unread items, the left column will show them under "feeds", divided into categories.
Only the unread feeds are displayed, which is good; from my ~150 feeds, i only see those that have been updated recently.

Until about a month ago, when I finished all unread items, the "feeds" list would show no items, with maybe some small label like "show all" or something.

Recently, something changed: when I finish all unread items, the "feeds" list will automatically go into "show all", and show me the full list of all…

  3. Its bad enough simply pulling up a website doesn't clear the 'check mark'. But NOW, I have to click the check mark, then select an option.

The new 'feature' ... have to select an option when you click the 'read check mark'. Sucks. Why can't you simply figure out when I've already read the think and mark as read.

  4. no "Index" for 2 weeks?!

I'm trying to click on the Index link and all I get is a message saying "We are in the process of modernizing the index page. More in two weeks."

Are you saying I can't use the Index for two weeks? Seriously?!

  5. Add some Rules

    Hello Feedly:

I suggest add some rules such as outlook/gmail to help users automatically classify everything. So far, as I know, we can only manually mark articles with board/label function.

  6. Add 'Search by Date'

It's infuriating to scroll indiscriminately to search for an article that appeared on a specific date.

Please consider adding a 'Search by Date' option to both the web-client and mobile app, to locate articles that appeared in feed on a particular day. For ex, a search for '23rd May' would turn up all the articles, across all feeds/for a specific feed that were published on 23rd May.

  7. Enable Add to Reading List In the Share Menu

The internal browser share menu does not include the “Add to Reading List” shortcut. I have to open the article in the Safari browser. It would be convenient if there were an easier way to save articles this way.

  9. Reinstate the removal of articles marked as read from the feed

Prior to 5/16/2019 when i clicked the "Mark as Read" widget Feedly would remove them from the list of articles in my feed. This was useful, as it cleaned up my feed dynamically as I read (or marked) articles without the need for excessive scrolling.

Not sure why this suddenly went away, but it is an annoying hindrance to my feed workflow, and as I am sure there may be users who prefer this method it would be nice if it could be a configurable option to turn on of off, per feed or across all feeds.

  10. Boards as Bookmarks

Currently one can save uris to boards easily and even search boards, however it is currently not possible to recall a saved item in a board or even navigate through items in a board without going to feedly itself.I propose that the extension either integrates with existing browser bookmarks systems (folders as boards, uris as enum items) or otherwise provide a mechanism via menus to access and recall items within save to board extension.

If this were possible, feedly will have achieved the holy grail of internet information management solution and provide a truly professional integration and infomgmt chain of…

  11. Fix keyboard shortcuts from "All" category

A little while back the "J" keyboard shortcut stopped working from the "All" category. Can that please come back as feature? Thanks.

  12. Can't add content to Read Later

Can't add articles from medium.com to Read Later. Says "Content not available"

    The API call returns: {"errorCode":400,"errorId":"ap2int-sv2.2019013023.3012863","errorMessage":"unable to download content"}

First noticed this problem a few days ago.

I'm using the web version of Feedly.

  13. Save to Feedly extension to add the website as a feed

The "Save to Feedly Board" extension should also analyze if the current website has a known feed and offer an option to add the website as a feed besides the existing functionality to save the individual page to a board.

  14. "Save to Feedly Board" extension should match URL with existing feeds

The "Save to Feedly Board" extension should try to match the page URL with known Feedly feeds and save the entry from the feed instead, rather than directly parse the page.

RSS feeds are better rendered than direct page scraping by Feedly.
It also should help in better organization of content, less duplication.

  15. Return Category Subdivision

    Hi!

I used to be able to see a category organized by date.. but subdivided by each feed in it. Now it's gone.. all the feeds mixed, ordered by date when I see a category.

I really miss it. I have general categories with a looot of feeds, and the old way let me see everything at once, and mark as read whole feeds. Now I have to go feed by feed.. it's really slow and bothersome.

    Thanks!

  16. Items marked "read later" should not be marked as read when clicking "mark all as read" in the today view

The intention is obviously to read the article later. If the articles saved in this manner are marked as read when clicking "Mark all as read" button at the end of the today view, the result is that the whole Read Later feed is full of articles marked as previously read. This makes it more difficult to distinguish between articles that have actually been read or not.

  17. Bug report: the counters at the right of the feed sections have disappeared on Safari

Hello, I noticed that since yesterday the counters at the right of the feeds (in the left column) have disappeared on Safari (they're still there on Firefox and mobile)

  18. Create a feed based on Feedly search (beyond your Feedly)

I upgraded to Pro for the "Search beyond your Feedly" feature. It is a valuable tool to discover content about a subject (journalist may depend on such a tool) and it appears to be more effective than Google Alerts keywords because the sources (feeds within Feedly) are indexed better from a 'readers' perspective.

Would it be possible to save a search result as a feed so that it would be easy to check for updates for a search query?

  19. Allow sponsored feeds to be categorized

I have a category that would be very well suited to the topics covered by a sponsored feed. But that's not the category I see them in. This makes me noticeably less likely to actually read the content from the sponsor as it shows up while I am looking at completely unrelated topics, so I skip past it.

As a concrete example, I have a category for technical/IT topics. But the atlassian feed ends up in my gaming category. If those posts showed up in my tech one, I'd probably read some of them. But currently I usually skip them.…
