  1. Bring back "Full Article View"

I used the full article view most of my time on pc, but I see that now it's gone everywhere except from the list of "All" articles.

I found it extremely easy to use, it gave a more direct reading experience instead of clicking article by article to see if you're interested on it

    Please bring it back

Hello, we’re sorry about how this change impacts your workflow and the associated frustration. We are a small team and it is very hard for us to maintain multiple versions of the UI as we add new features.

We did this during the first 6 months while moving from the old rendering engine to the new one to help users transition. We are going to focus now instead on trying to integrate all the missing features like the Full Article View to the roadmap to continue to bridge the gap in the new engine.

In other words, we are looking into ways how to add this back. Thank you for understanding.

    • No limits on unread/old items

PLEASE do not impose a 30-day limit on Normandy like Google Reader did. At the very least, allow users to view items older than 30 days on Normandy. People don't want to lose information!

We’d like to share with you how Search works and why the limitation is set on 30 days.

Basically the reason why we have to limit to 30 days for categories is because searching across a large number of feeds takes a long time to return results right now. This also explains why we can remove this limit when you search directly in a feed rather than a category, as that will return search results a lot faster.

You can still see all the older articles as unread in all your Collections/Categories. If you’ll click on the Gear icon on the top right and uncheck “Unread only” you’ll see all the articles, just marked as read.

Improving our search feature is one of our top priorities for feedly Pro, so we’re trying to up this limit soon. Unfortunately we don’t have an ETA to give you on that.

      • Re-enable preview via https. Why was it ever disabled?

Please re-enable preview via https. It used to work and now it does not.

I knwo https is not perfect what with third party pictures and content being pulled in, but it is better than nothing.

        Please-re-enable preview option via https.

        Thank you.

          • Offline Support

Enable offline reading for all unread items +images in feeds

I catch up on my RSS reading in the metro (spotty at best cell service) and on flights (often no service even available) -- please enable offline reading of unread items, and sync unread/bookmark/etc. on the next connect. The workflow of the MobileRSS app does this very well currently, and allows per-folder caching and selection of whether to cache images or not, on wifi only or any connection. That is a bit overboard, but being able to add an offline cache is the main feature I'll miss moving from my…

The current feedly apps (iOS and Android) do not offer offline article caching.

This is a feature we are looking into.

If you’re looking for offline support, some feedly partner apps support it (eg.Reeder and Newsify on iOS, or Press on Android).

Those apps are powered by the feedly Cloud API and will seamlessly recreate your reading environment (all your feeds are sync’ed from feedly when you login).

To explore the feedly partner apps and their features, visit http://www.feedly.com/apps.html

            • Support Full Feed

I subscribed some RSS, which doesn't provide full feed. In Google Reader I need to use some third part addon (Super Full Feeds for Chrome or D7 Google Reader on Android). They use readability mobilizer, instapaper mobilizer or google mobilizer to provide the full feed.

Since opening the web browser to view the content is not nice - slow and I can't focus on the content itself. It would be really nice that Feedly includes this feature.

                • Google login broken

Logging in to Feedly iOS is no longer working with my Google account. The login to Google seems to complete but instead of going back to the Feedly app the Google search page is displayed. I've tried removing and reinstalling the app but that didn't solve it. Any ideas?

                  • Search in read and saved articles (free)

I use Google Reader for food blogs and I want to be able to search back in previous posts - starred/saved or not to find what I am looking for.

I should be able to use feedly's Search tool for free.

feedly Power Search is part of feedly Pro: it’s Google fast, indexes your entire feed history, includes filters for Search results, and supports operators.

NEW: you can now also Search beyond your feedly to discover relevant content from across the web.

full Power Search is available for pro users – funding from Pro allows us to build a better feedly, continue to invest in the infrastructure and feed innovation.

non-Pro users get access to all of the Search features and filters, but only the top 3 search results are returned.

At the moment we don’t offer feedly for Windows phones. But here are a couple of things that might interest you:

                          - You can access feedly from NextGen, a Windows Phone and Windows 8 app. See more here: http://www.feedly.com/apps.html

                          - feedly is available pure web (plugin and extension-free) and can be used on Windows as a result. Try here: http://cloud.feedly.com/

                        • Provide analytics and insights to my feedly so I can continually improve my selection of feeds based on my and other reading habits

Provide analytics tools and recommendations based on my reading habits and the reading habits of people with similar clickthrough, saves, stars and likes so that I can improve my feedly.

I live in California but manage feedly for a colleague in London. Why am I consistently getting news related to US and my local area only? I want global news sources for my topics.

Hi Jennifer, this is under review now, as of now we have a language filter for search among feeds in feedly and it seems like we still have to introduce this for the Google News search and it is something we’re working on right now.
At this moment I would recommend using a little “hack”. If you create a Google News search in feedly you’ll land on an URL. For a keyword “Marketing” it is, for example, this URL:http://feedly.com/i/subscription/feed/http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&gl=us&q=marketing&um=1&ie=UTF-8&output=rss

If you change it to this: http://feedly.com/i/subscription/feed/http://news.google.co.uk/news?hl=en&gl=en&q=marketing&um=1&ie=UTF-8&output=rss

You’ll get UK results. What have I changed? This part: news.google.co.uk it was this before: news.google.com

                            • Feedly Alerts

Clone Google Alerts. Allow users to set up keywords so feedly can notify them when relevant news emerges. Allow for matching news filtering (country, content-type, category, etc). Present an individual feed for every active alert, all of them under the "Alerts" category so it can be accesed from 3rd part apps also, and also so its possible to keep track of each alert history.

Cheers to the feedly team, awesome work so far :)

                                • Old school Google Reader-style social sharing

Once feedly transitions to Normandy, why not start working on following/sharing features like the beloved ones old Google Reader used to have? The internet would genuinely poop its pants with joy if this were to happen.

Sharing is an important aspect of the reading experience in feedly.

We are currently designing a new sharing experience to allow you to better share content from your feedly.

                                    ETA Spring 2014.

I have a google account and when I try and login to it to sync all of my RSS feeds, I am redirected to the google mobile home page. This is very annoying as I planned on using my old iPhone to read RSS stories, but not I cannot sync them at all.
