Hide folders that have 0 unread items
The option to hide categories with no updates was implemented with feedly 14.0.481.
To turn it on, go to left navigation bar > preferences link and select the hide option.
See details regarding this release (also including a new iteration of feedly mini and pinterest integration) on the Building Feedly blog: ihttp://blog.feedly.com/2013/04/15/listening-and-improving-the-experience-14-0-481-is-out/
Thank you for your suggestion!

Since last week this stopped working while Feedly settings "Hide Empty Feeds in Left Navigation" is turned on.

Thanks for implementing this. It works for me.

I can't seem to find this option in the 20.2 version of the Feedly iOS app
Volker Janzen commented
The iOS version should get this feature too. It's working in the cloud, but not on iOS.
it's likely a regression, as there is no such option neither in ios 15.0.1 nor android 1.0.0

another vote for hiding feed categories on the iOS app when there are no unread feeds in that category.

Please give the ability to hide empty feeds on Android

@Remi, can you please either reopen this suggestion or create a separate one for the different mobile apps?
I'm glad the web site is doing this, but I've seen several updates in the App Store since the fix to the iOS app that haven't brought feature parity to the mobile side.

This is essential for the mobile apps as well as desktop - when will we see this feature in the iPad app?

There is no such option in my Android Feedly :-(
This should also include the "all" view of all your feeds. In Google Reader, if your entire RSS feed is "empty" (all items have been read) a screen showing, simply "you have no unread items"
It seems impossible to get to a "blank" screen in the All view, even with 0 unread items.

As Wojtek points out in http://feedly.uservoice.com/forums/192636-suggestions/suggestions/3854335-hide-feeds-and-folders-that-have-0-unread-items this _isn't_ fixed for ex. the Android App!
Thanks to your help and thanks to Feedly for enabling the option to hide categories with no updates. Regards
could you please do the same for the mobile version? it makes just the more sense to offer such an option on devices with limited screen sizes.
Works for me. After refresh but it's ok.

Folders don't hide themselves after you read everything in them. You have to refresh the page for them to go away.
This one is halfway fixed.

I'm not sure exactly what this does, but it doesn't do what I want: the index still shows feeds with no unread items. As others have mentioned, THAT change was only a few days old.
Jeffrey Cuscutis commented
Well, this is almost what I was asking for. It should hide feeds with 0 items. I read on a feed by feed basis so I don't want to see empty feeds.
Jon Tollerton commented
Still not implemented. Index still shows feeds with zero items.
