Search is very important function.
It would be nice by default search in current feed or folder of feeds
Christopher Todesco: that is not possible with the Android app (just one of many ways the Android app is very much behind compared to the desktop version or Google Reader for Android)
Yes, this is an important feature for me. I often use this for my research. Search is such a time-saver. Best is to integrate right next to the folder title for immediate access. Make "search this folder" the standard option, with a drop-down where I can select specifics like "unread only", "all feeds" etc.
Thanks, can't wait for your next version.

It's nice that I can search for new material through feedly, but I would really like to be able to also search my received stories as well. It's a nice feature if you've known you've read something previously but forgot to save it.
I, too, am a Google Reader immigrant. I can not find the magnifying glass icon. I would like to use it for the search function.
An anyone clarify? Where is this magnifying glass icon?
I am a google reader immigrant. I can't see the magnifying glass for search function - really miss search capability of reader but otherwise migration is OK so far. Anyone help me how to search in Feedly ?

"Magnifying Glass" is solve it.
However it doing in hidden way.
I mean such button only search for new one.
I guess the best solution is make "search in my feeds" much clear

Agree, I am missing the possiblity to search a date range though.
Also, Google Reader did not include searching title only, which would be great.

You can search in your feed.
Click the "Magnifying Glass" icon on the upper right. Type your search terms into the text box. Unlike Google Reader, you will have to click on one of the links under "FIND ARTICLES" either "x in my feedly" or "x in this section only".
It's actually slightly better than Google Reader's search box, but I do wish it were right on the feed in the top bar.
