make it possible to exclude feeds/tags from "Today" "featured" and similar parts of feedly.
Everywhere feeds and posts are displayed from multiple tags it should be possible to exclude one or more tags. Some feeds have a tendency to pollute others for various reasons.

I would love more control over "today", for example, it would be great to have different version of "Today", one for work and one for home.
If this would allow me to "temporarily suspend" feeds as well, that would be awesome. For example... job board feeds... I don't want to remove them but I also don't need them right now.

Yes please - the Today filter does not behave well or consistently.
On iOS / iPad the most recent post from a feed may only display in Today and not in the feed folder itself so I have to check both Today and the feed folder to see all the most recent posts.
A feed with more than one post per day (e.g. Obituaries from The Independent newspaper (UK)) will show all of the day's posts in Today, and all of the day's posts EXCEPT the one most recent in the feed itself - seems a bit daft.
All would be solved if I could turn off the Today filter completely.
The Cloud version on desktop Chrome seems to have similar inconsistencies but I haven't taken the time to work out the illogicality there, life's too short...

In dire need of this.. I love subscribing to image boards and such, but when there's hundreds of new pictures coming in every half hour, I only want to casually skim through it, not have it populate my main feeds.
/r/programming is dominating my feeds with its regular large amount of posts. It would be great to have an exclude option.

This would be so useful. I don't want to have to unsubscribe to blogs that clog my feed. And some stuff I have in there for work/learning while others for enjoying. I'd like the option to exclude from all.

Also, would love to be able to control how many stories are displayed in the today. In other words, some feeds i would love to be able to see all stories for that day.
100% I just recently migrated and love Latest but i have some feeds that polute my latest (such as life hacker) and would like to be able to exclude.

Yes please!!! I can't open TODAY because in a Public place all people can see my NSFW suscriptions too!! ... and no one wants a BBW or a MILF in his screen while you stay in a Church ;)
I'd also like this feature.
For me the usecase is the distinction of
--- 1. News Feeds ---
These I want to pop to occasionally and I don't mind missing some articles -- there are too many to read anyway.
--- 2. Timeline Based Webcomic Feeds ---
Here I want to access EVERY article in CHRONOLOGICAL order when there are a couple of pages from the same webcomic.
In the current state I cannot use the "Today" functionality, as it would break the timeline for those webcomics.

I would say that there are two types of Feed :
- The ones I follow and I don't want to miss a single post of them
- The ones I may consult from time to time, on demand, more like bookmarks.
Those one could be part of a "What to do now" section that you reach when you have read all your feeds. Feedly could then provide either some recommended post (as Google Reader does very well), or this list of secondary subscriptions
