Put the left navbar (add content, settings, ...) back to the bottom. It takes to much space on small screens (Macbook 13")
That's an awful change. Please but the very left navbar back to where it was. Thank you

The left band is useless clutter, even on a large screen. "More functionality" means even more clutter. Why not allow users to choose for themselves by adding an option to unpin the left band?
That's pretty stupid. It's a waste of space. Ever heard of responsive webdesign? Every good UI designer will tell you that. For largee screen sizes it might be ok (it's still distracting, though) but for screen sizes like a MacBook 13" it's awful.
Did you ever test it on small screens? No one in your team can find it useful.

Came here to say this as well. I have a visual impairment so need to have the zoom up quite high. As a result, this sidebar takes up a huge proportion of my screen. Please get rid of it, it doesn't need to be there.
I agree. I have a 12" Macbook and the sidebar is taking up so much room for only having five buttons. Please let us customize it back to the old style. At the very least, it would be great if I could resize the width of the pinned list. I like having it always pinned but can't change the size.

Second that. Now half of my screen are not the articles which should be the core of your product.
P.S. I'm kind of tired to customise the css in order to make this site manageable lately, it'll be easier just switch to the alternatives.
